Instructions for the update
Updates can only be done through the originally
purchased / created SD-card.
Only official ROMs by
Hewlett-Packard are supported.
All programs for the installation program are
in the subdirectory \PRGM on the SD-card.
Note: The files in the
directory \PRGM have no suffix.
Download the updated files from this site.
Note: The
update files presented on this site here have no suffix. If you use a Microsoft
operating
system, then ensure that there is no suffix added to the downloaded files.
Always update all
files on the SD card and all libraries in the calculator !
Never ever mix updates
from packages with a different date. You have been warned !
Do not delete or
rename any other file that is already in the directory \PRGM
!
Note: The
files in the directory \PRGM have no suffix. If you use a Microsoft operating
system, then
ensure that there is no suffix added to the replaced files. If in doubt, use a
command prompt of your
operating system and ensure that the replaced files have no suffix.
Delete the libraries you want to update on your
calculator.
If necessary, consult your HP manual about
deleting a library.
Note: For purging the library containing the
alternative messages you *must* switch back to the
original messages first. This can be done by entering the command ORIGINAL
while in RPN mode.
An easy way to remove a library from the
calculator is the filer.
Start the filer application and move into the
port where you have stored the libraries.
Mark the libraries you want to delete by
pressing [ENTER] while the cursor is on the library.
Press [NXT] and then the softmenukey
[PURGE] to delete the marked libraries.
Repeat this as needed for other libraries and
other ports.
Please read
the chapters about libraries in the manual if you’re not familiar with it.
Turn the
calculator off and put the SD card into the calculator. Now turn the calculator
on and run
the installation program from the SD-card to install the updated programs. If necessary, read the ReadMe__.txt
that came with the program and/or consult the documentation on the SD card
about running
the installation program.
Documentation
of the programs can be found in the subdirectory \DOKU on the SD-card.
